Thermi Breast Lift Q & A
What is ThermiBreast?
ThermiBreast uses the same technology as ThermiTight, which can tighten skin all over the body. ThermiBreast is a heat technology that uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate the production of collagen — a natural compound that strengthens your skin.
Who is a good candidate for ThermiBreast?
ThermiBreast can enhance the appearance of the breasts in women who have small or medium-sized breasts with mild to moderate sagging. It’s a valid alternative to invasive breast-lifting surgery and it’s effective at any age. ThermiBreast is not a substitute for surgical breast lift techniques in women with generous busts.
Dr. Lebowitz provides a comprehensive exam and consultation to determine if you’re a good candidate for the ThermiBreast procedure. He considers your breast size and your expected results. He also takes into consideration your medical history; for example, ThermiBreast isn’t effective for women with breast implants.
What happens during a ThermiBreast procedure?
The treatment usually takes about an hour. Dr. Lebowitz uses local anesthesia or sedation. He makes four small incisions around your nipple area and inserts a tiny probe. The probe delivers gentle heat energy to specific tissues, causing vertical fibers under the skin to tighten and shorten to lift your breasts.
ThermiBreast also tightens the breast ligaments, helping to further lift sagging tissue. Dr. Lebowitz controls the temperature generated by the probe, to ensure your comfort and provide an effective treatment.
ThermiBreast is an outpatient procedure, meaning you go home the same day. You need no recovery and can resume your normal activities the day after the procedure.
How effective is ThermiBreast?
ThermiBreast can lift the breasts as much as an inch or two in some patients. Multiple treatments may produce greater lift.
